Week 49 at Høst
New bread plate, merch, and exciting flavours.
Hello and welcome back friends!
Week 48 was another busy one at the bakery, lots of bread, many pastries, and more sold out days. We can’t express enough our gratitude to you for supporting our little bakery.
It is officially December, the days are shorter and the weather is not too great. Good news is you can cozy up inside the bakery with a hot cup of tea or coffee and one of our beautiful pastries to help you feel warm and cozy inside. You have a lot of fun things to look forward to this week.
With the start of December comes the end of our popular November bread plate. It is a sad day for us all but don’t worry! Our December plate may just be able to top it. From this Friday you can order a beautiful plate with a rosemary and cranberry sourdough loaf, orange marmalade, salty whipped butter and beautiful Søbo cheese from Søtofte. Our loaf will be made with rosemary water, and our marmalade with cinnamon. It is the perfect festive breakfast situation.
Your favourite bow croissants will be filled with an earl grey diplomat cream and roasted apples this week, which will pair perfectly with Tash’s earl grey hot chocolate. Our festive drinks also include a dirty chai and cardamom latte, our teams favourite drinks.
In very exciting news, we now have merch! You can now buy our caps and tote bags, which make the perfect presents for Christmas or for yourself. If you buy a tote bag you get a free sourdough loaf to take home too, so there’s that. We are completely obsessed with them and we think you will be too. Høst means harvest, so of course our tote bag features a pastry and bread harvest. It aligns with our concept of farm to pastry, working with local farms as much as possible, and is also just extremely cute. Keep an eye on socials for when we start shipping around the EU, along with our subscription boxes and at home cookie mixes. You don’t want to miss this
.
We are also open on Tuesdays now, 7:30-17:00 after a high demand from our regulars. If you were visiting us for Baby Cafe, don’t worry! We will still reserve seats for you in the cafe from 11:00-13:00. And for all you busy parents out there, make sure to pick up one of our frozen cookie doughs to make at home for Christmas. We have a beautiful gingerbread, and vaniljekranse of course. Both made with locally grown and milled flour from Quartz Mølle.
What the team is loving this week:
Veronica is loving the new special rosemary bread, she is very excited for you to try it this weekend. It’s going to be a very special one.
Fintan is also loving the smell of rosemary that is surrounding the bakery from making rosemary water for the bread. He says all the spices and smells in the air are making a little winter wonderland in Ringsted, so you will just have to stop by and experience it yourself.
Tash is loving a CMO, the BMO’s more fun sibling. A croissant with butter and cheese, do we need to say more?
Aryan is loving the brown butter, purpur wheat and chocolate chip cookies, a staple in the bakery, but extra tasty when the weather is cold and you have a hot cappuccino on the side. For those of you that live further away, you will be able to make these at home very soon, no fomo here!
Maya is loving our orange cinnamon buns, a little upgrade to our popular cinnamon bun. Dip it in your hot chocolate for peak coziness, or toast it and slather some extra butter on it. However you choose to eat it, it will not let you down.
Thank you for all the love and support this week, vi ses!
